Cindy Supporting Terrorists? Apparently discovering that she had no effect on US policy, she's decided to speak out against Egyptian policy: Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan joined a protest Wednesday seeking the support of Egypt's first lady in ending a military trial of members of the country's largest Islamic organization.
Under the watchful eyes of dozens of black-clad and helmeted anti-riot police, some 50 heavily veiled wives and children of 40 senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood detained for the past year, gathered in front of the headquarters of first lady Suzanne Mubarak's National Council Women carrying banners calling for their release.
"I am here to protest the trial of civilians in front of a military tribunal as this is a violation to international law," said Sheehan, who gained fame in the U.S. for her sit-in outside President Bush's Texas ranch following the death of her son in Iraq. Labels: Cindy Sheehan, Muslim Brotherhood

Did Lew Rockwell Write the Racist Rants In Ron Paul's Newsletter?Oh, my this is going to be pretty funny if it turns out to be true. Ron Paul doesn't seem to know much about his own newsletters. The libertarian-leaning presidential candidate says he was unaware, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, of the bigoted rhetoric about African Americans and gays that was appearing under his name. He told CNN last week that he still has "no idea" who might have written inflammatory comments such as "Order was only restored in L.A. when it came time for the blacks to pick up their welfare checks"—statements he now repudiates. Yet in interviews with reason, a half-dozen longtime libertarian activists—including some still close to Paul—all named the same man as Paul's chief ghostwriter: Ludwig von Mises Institute founder Llewellyn Rockwell, Jr. The article goes into some arcana about how Rockwell and some other "paleolibertarians" decided to reach out to paleoconservatives: The newsletters' obsession with blacks and gays was of a piece with a conscious political strategy adopted at that same time by Lew Rockwell and Murray Rothbard. After breaking with the Libertarian Party following the 1988 presidential election, Rockwell and Rothbard formed a schismatic "paleolibertarian" movement, which rejected what they saw as the social libertinism and leftist tendencies of mainstream libertarians. In 1990, they launched the Rothbard-Rockwell Report, where they crafted a plan they hoped would midwife a broad new "paleo"
coalition. But of course, the funniest thing is that Rockwell was romantically linked about a year and a half ago to Cindy Sheehan. Yep, that Cindy Sheehan:  Cindy, run! There's a big black man near you! One thing about the potential Rockwell authorship is that it explains why Paul has declined to reveal who wrote the articles. Rockwell's now apparently forging an alliance with the libertine left; in 2005-2006, he was one of the irregular posters over at Airiheadda's Huffington Post. Bravely Standing Up to the NazisCindy Sheehan engages in the favorite pastime of the anti-Bush crowd: Fantasizing that she's one of the noble few opposing Hitler: My first encounter with the White Rose Society (a small group of Munich University Students who were executed for their opposition to Hitler and the Third Reich) came on my way from Dallas to Crawford, Tx on August 6th, 2005. Amazing how Cindy encountered these people 62 years after their execution, eh? And how did Cindy survive her two and a half years of protesting Hitler? Approximately 299.99 million people did not protest today. But what the hey, let's look at some of those who did:  This charming couple went incognito; unfortunately for them, they gave their names to the photographer: Ali Leeds, left, and Dan Stillinger, center, march during an Iraq war protest.... Here's a catchy slogan:  How about US out of San Francisco?  What would a protest be without Hanoi Jane and Baghdad Susan?  Or Cindy Sheehan and Ron Kovic? The usual retarded suggestion:  It just wouldn't be a protest without Uncle Sam on stilts:  Frodo was there:  Sorry, but it looks like the giant puppets sat out the protest this time around.
