	Tuesday, January 29, 2008 And Now It's Mitt On the Ropes Can McCain deliver the knockout tonight? RCP only shows him with a slight advantage over Wallet Mitty in seven of the last ten polls, with one tie. Don't kid yourselves, folks, if Romney loses tonight by one dangling chad, it's all over. Looking ahead to the big February 5 bonanza of delegates, McCain is up by 8.9% in California, by 9.2% in New York (over Giuliani; Mitt's down 19 points in the Empire State), and by 3.0 in my home state of New Jersey, with Mitt again trailing Giuliani. Zogby currently shows McCain with a four point lead, just outside the margin of error. Of course, Zogby doesn't exactly have the greatest credibility, given the problems he's had in the past, but this poll seems to fit the pattern. - Pat, 8:07 AM 0 comments
