	Monday, May 08, 2006 Fat Man Nearly Finished! I've covered the Fat Man Walking phenomenon a couple of times in the past; today I learn he's only a day or two away from completing his trek across America. Kudos to Steve; as I mentioned in my first post on him: I would tend to echo the comment made by one person who said he's not going to make it, except for the fact that he's a former Marine. We know he can handle the punishment. Steve Vaught has lost more than 100 pounds on his walk across the country, but he's regaining his sanity. At 410 pounds a year ago, the 40-year-old father of two from San Diego was battling a severe eating disorder and deep depression, caused by the guilt over accidentally killing two elderly pedestrians 15 years ago. - Pat, 9:17 PM 0 comments
