More Bad Writing
Barbra Streisand writes some rather bad prose, with misspellings galore, and gets tag-teamed by Michelle Malkin and Captain Ed for her pains. But at least Streisand isn't known for her composition skills; Gore Vidal, on the other hand, is supposed to be a wordsmith

So I said, "So who's your Mme Verdurin?"
He had not heard of one of Proust's principle characters. He was confidently illiterate. It's highly suitable that he would become iconic, because he didn't know anything, and never told the truth. Doesn't he fit in the age of Bush?
