	Thursday, December 22, 2005 Patriot Act Extended--Updated Some good news here, but a six-month extension is just a bandaid. I have yet to hear of any real abuses of the Patriot Act; most of the complaints concern the provision regarding checking the books borrowed from the library by suspected terrorists, but that part of the act has rarely been used. Update: As PCD points out in the comments, the Patriot Act has not been extended yet. However, as the Senate was the roadblock, I am hopeful that we will at least get the extension done. - Pat, 9:20 AM 0 comments
