Palmeiro for the Hall?Heard some of the radio knuckleheads debating this earlier. It's silly. Of course Palmeiro's going to the Hall of Fame; his only way of avoiding it at this point would be Pete Rose's method. He's currently #9 on the all-time home runs list, #16 on the RBI list (with a good chance of moving as high as #10 by the end of the year). He'll be the 26th man to reach 3,000 hits by next weekend.
The most similar batters to him in history are Frank Robinson, Eddie Murray, Reggie Jackson, Mel Ott and Dave Winfield; all are in the Hall of Fame.
