Power Line Posts Copies of Kerry's Forms 180The
front pages are here.
Power Line notes that John O'Neill has commented that the forms don't tell us if documents were previously purged from the record.
There appears in my mind to be one big red flag that this is the case. Note the careful wording:
"A single, one time, copy of the complete military record....""To provide on a 1 time basis, a complete copy...."Remember, when
promising Tim Russert that he would sign the Form 180, Kerry made this interesting comment:
"I'm going to sit down with them and make sure that they are clear and I am clear as to what is in the record and what isn't in the record and we'll put it out," he told "Meet the Press" host Tim Russert.Sounds like Kerry got the Navy to remove some items in the record, then made absolutely sure that there would be no screwups, say three years from now, with somebody releasing the undeleted file by specifying that this was on a "1 time basis".
Ankle-Biting Pundits (where I will be guest-blogging in a couple weeks) notices
something else missing.
