Lunchtime ReadJohn Hawkins has a
long and wide-ranging interview with ex-Marine and newspaper columnist Jack Kelly.
John Hawkins: You're a former Marine, a former Green Beret. What do you think about the whole chickenhawk argument? That you should only be able to support war if you're willing to join up?
Jack Kelly: Well, I think that’s pretty ridiculous. I mean, you could just reverse it. Could you only oppose the war if you’d never served? The argument makes no sense at all. The policy can be sound whether or not you participate in it...Definitely something to consider printing out and reading over lunchtime. Fascinating stuff.
