Andrew Sullivan Hysteria WatchMichelle Malkin does a
marvelous takedown of Sully and his willingness to believe the worst about Gitmo.
I covered his
ridiculous embrace of Mamdouh Habib's claims a few months ago. Of course, since then, he's only gotten worse. You would think the rather mild treatment of the 20th hijacker
documented in Time this week which he even cites would convince Sully that perhaps these torture claims are overblown.
But you'd be wrong:
Perhaps the real story of the last couple of years is how these techniques filtered down the ranks, how unprofessional individuals got the message from above that the gloves were off and went further, with far less significant figures.
