Great post as usual by Captain Ed, and he even caught a detail that I had missed. Martin McGuinness, a major Sinn Fein leader (and reported member of the IRA ruling council) declined to condemn the IRA's offer to shoot the killers: "I totally and absolutely disagree with any punishment shootings whatsoever.
