	Sunday, November 07, 2004 Arizona Update Republicans had a pretty good election day in my home state. John McCain won reelection handily with about 76% of the vote. We returned all 8 of our congressmen, which translates to a 6-2 record. Rick Renzi had been considered as somewhat vulnerable in District 1, and came under ferocious attack. He was facing Paul Babbitt, a member of a famous Arizona family. Renzi won quite easily, 59%-36%, winning every county in this huge district. And he wasn't riding Bush's coattails, as he had a higher percentage of the vote than the President in every county except Yavapai, where they tied.
